• Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India has scheduled to introduce ‘The Multi State Cooperative Societies (Amendment) Bill, 2010’ in Lok Sabha in the Winter Session of the Parliament, seeking amendment to some of the important provisions of ‘The Multi-State Co-operative Societies Act, 2002’.

  • NAFSCOB invited by ‘Parliamentary Committee on Agriculture’ to present views on‘The Constitution (One Hundred and Eleventh Amendment) Bill, 2009’

          Shri B. Subrahmanyam, Managing Director, NAFSCOB was invited by the ‘Parliamentary Committee on Agriculture’ to present his views on the ‘Constitution (One Hundred and Eleventh Amendment) Bill, 2009’ on 18th June 2010. The Committee held its meeting at the Parliament House Annexe in New Delhi. Shri Subrahmanyam presented his views to the Committee on important proposed amendment issues such as Insertion of new article 43B, promotion of co-operative societies, definitions, incorporation of co-operative societies, number and term of members of board and its office bearers, election of members of board, supersession and suspension of board and interim management, audit of accounts, convening of general body meetings, right of a member to get information, returns, offences and penalties, application to multi-state cooperative societies, application to Union Territories, continuance of existing laws etc.

  • National Conference of Cooperation Ministers of States/UTs

    The National Conference of Cooperation Ministers of States/UTs was held on April 20, 2011 at New Delhi under the auspices of Department of Agriculture & Cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India. The Principal Secretary/ Secretary (Cooperation), Registrar of Cooperative Societies and Managing Directors, National Level Cooperatives organisations have been also invited to participate in the National Conference.
