VISITS ABROAD

 

  1. Visited Amesterdom, Utrecht, Haarlem etc.in Netherlands during the second half of April 1989 for the following purposes: 

a.   To  participate  in  the discussion of the Project Committee on NAFSCOB-RIAS Project in connection with the proposed Pilot Project for the establishment of training institutes for the Secretaries of PACS. 

b.    To discuss with the officials of Rabobank Foundation and apprise the developments with regard to the Project Cell set up under their assistance.

c.   To present a Research paper on Rural Savings Mobilisation to Rabobank Foundation. 

  1. Visited Rome, Italy to have a glimpse of socio-cultural aspects of the city in 1989.  
  2. Attended the 8th General Assembly of Asia and Pacific Regional Agricultural Credit Association (APRACA) held at Jakarta and Bali, Indonesia from December 5-9, 1990.  
  3. Attended the First APRF International Forum on Information Exchange Network on Rural Finance convened by APRACA from June 10-14, 1991 at Manila, Philippines.  
  4. VIIth International Raiffeisen Cooperative Seminar convened by IRU at Bangkok from October 31 to November 6, 1993.   
  5. 10th APRACA General Assembly held at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on April 13-15, 1995.  
  6. ILO-SDC-APRACA Regional Workshop on collateral substitutes at Khon Kaon, Thailand on December 4-6, 1995.   
  7. Attended 11th General Assembly Meeting of APRACA / Meeting of SACRED held at Tehran, Iran on May 1-8, 1997.   
  8. Visited Dubai, UAE to have a glimpse of socio-cultural aspects of the city in May 1997.   
  9. Attended APRACA General Assembly Meeting/Chief Executives Conference at Tokyo, Japan from March 2-4, 1998.   
  10. Social Visit to Singapore in August 6-9, 1998.   
  11. Participated in the International Study Tour at Bangkok in Thailand, Hong Kong, Seoul in   South Korea, Manila in Philippines and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia from October 3-16, 1998.
  12. Attended Second Meeting of Regional Cooperative Banking Association (RCBA) held  at Bangkok, Thailand on February 25, 1999
  13. Attended the ICA Regional Consultation Programme held at Singapore from July 5-10, 1999.
  14. Attended First Asian Cooperative Research conference convened by ICA on June 24-25, 2000 at Singapore.   

  15. Attended the meeting of Regional Cooperative Banking Association on June 25, 2000 at Singapore.
  16. Attended first ICA Asia pacific Cooperative Forum on June 27, 2000 at Singapore.   
  17. Participated in the International Education and Exposure Programme in Europe i.e. Austria, France, Netherland, Germany,  USA  and London & U.K.   from October 9-25, 2000. 

  18. Participated in the CEO Policy Forum Organised by APRACA-IFAD MICROSERV
    Programme at Bangkok, Thailand from January 15-19, 2001. 

  19. Participated in the Exposure visit to Federation of Cooperative (DGRV) Germany from April 01-08, 2001 under the GTZ Linkage Banking Programme.
  20. Attended ICA Regional Consultation held at Tehran,  Islamic Republic of Iran from July 01-05, 2001.
  21. Participated in the International and Exposure Programme in Seoul, Tokyo and Kualalumpur from October 13- 26, 2001
  22. Participated in the ICA General Assembly meeting on October 15-17, 2001 at Seoul.
  23. Participated in ICA Asia Pacific Seminar cum Workshop on Cooperative Banking in Asia – Pacific Region organised by ICA on January 26-27, 2002 at Colombo, Sri Lanka.
  1. Attended 4th Meeting of the RCBA on April 2, 2002 at Kathmandu, Nepal.
  1. Participated as an invitee in the 6th Cooperative Ministers Conference for Asia –Pacific Region organised by ICA ROAP from April 3-5, 2002 at Kathmandu, Nepal.
  1. Resource Faculty at ICA-ROAP-DID seminar on "Surveillance System of Cooperative Credit and Banking Institutions in Asia-Pacific" on November 16, 2002 in Seoul, South Korea.
  1.  Visited Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (way back from Seoul November, 2002) .
  1. Participated in the study visits to Philippines, China and Thailand during February 16-28, 2003.
  1. Participated in ICA Regional Assembly and Cooperative Forum organised by ICA on February 19-21, 2003 at Cebu, Philippines.
  1. Participated in ICETU-APRO / ICA ROAP / SNTUC / SNCF Regional Workshop on ILO recommendations on Cooperatives between Cooperatives and Trade Union Management at Singapore during July 16-18, 2003.
  1. Attended ICA General Assembly Meeting at Oslo, Norway on September 3-4, 2003.
  1. Participated in study visits to identified institutions in Stockholm in Sweden, Helsinki in Finland, Copenhagen in Denmark and Bonn in Germany under International Education and Exposure Programme during September 5-13, 2003.
  1. Attended 3rd APRACA CEO Policy Forum on "Corporate Governance" at Hanoi / Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam during May 24-29, 2004.
  1. Attended the workshop on "Cooperative Services and Business Partnerships" convened by NTUC Income Insurance Cooperative Ltd., on July 19-20, 2004 at Singapore.
  1. Attended the 3rd ICA Regional Cooperative Forum and 6th ICA Regional Assembly at Chiang Mei, Thailand during November 29 to December 4, 2004.
  1. Visited Confederation Natonale Du Credit Mutuel on March 09, 2005 at Paris.
  1. Attended the meeting at Rabobank Nederland on March 11, 2005 at Utrecht, Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
  1. Attended 15th APRACA General Assembly Meeting and Interfacing Conference on Innovations in Rural Finance, Design, Technologies and Methodologies at Bangkok, Thailand during May 23 - 28, 2005. / Field Visits during May 28 - 30, 2005 and Cambodia.
  1. Participated in the Field Visits organised by APRACA in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh, Cambodia during May 29 - 31, 2005.
  1. Participated in study visits to Agricultural Development Bank of China, All China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives and other organizations in Beijing and Shanghai, China July 12 – 18, 2005.

  1. Attended the ICA General Assembly during September 20-23, 2005 at Cartagena de India's, Colombia.
  1. Made a presentation on "Financial Cooperatives in India – Achievements, Issues and Recent Initiatives" during BBL on September 26, 2005 at The World Bank, Washington D.C., USA.
  1. Visited Rabobank Bollenstreek, Netherland on 18 May, 2006. Participated in the field visit organised by local Rabobank to Kevkonhof on the same day.
